NSFAS is introducing a new direct payment solution for student allowances, utilizing the NSFAS MasterCard. All students who receive NSFAS funding will receive a MasterCard along with a bank account where monthly allowances will be directly disbursed.
Previously, NSFAS collaborated with various financial institutions, including Standard Bank, to issue bank cards to eligible students. These cards served as a means for accessing the funds provided by NSFAS.
With the NSFAS MasterCard, students can withdraw funds, make purchases, and effectively manage their financial aid. The card is supported by different distributing partners, including Coinvest NSFAS.
